A while ago I read a short piece on a puppet play called Mundo Português which talks about how Portuguese was spread throughout the world. In an interview I found on another site, the project coordinator says that most kids in Brazil don’t yet know that Portuguese is also spoken in other countries.
The play is part of a project called Buzum!, created by the theater group Pia Fraus. The project is taken around Brazil and shown to kids from ages 6 to 10. The kids go for a ride on a big green bus which doubles as a theater.
The group has six other plays. You can check them out here.
