About Vintage Barber

I am a barber from the Boston, Mass. area. I'm an American, of Italian heritage but I have had the great fortune of meeting and befriending a number of Brazilian people. I went into a Brazilian store looking for something and I came out many friends. I couldn't be happier as these are some the best people I have ever met. More and more we spend time together, including my attending a Brazilian church. One of these people is a beautiful woman who I have a special spot for and enjoy having her as a friend. Obviously she is a prime motivation for me learning the language. Luciana, I'm ready to go! My goal is to continue becoming better friends and part of that is learning Brazilian Portuguese. I have so much to say but more importantly, so much I want to listen to. I want to not only know them, but also understand them, their culture, etc. I took Spanish in school which in some ways has helped but in others has confused me due to the different rules in Portuguese. I have tried but have been disappointed in my lack of progress. Much of this I blame myself due to a lack of a structured study program and schedule. Sometimes I am reluctant to speak due to my embarrassment in making mistakes which also is bad. I need to break through soon and start getting this before I get frustrated. Luciana, in the very short time I've seen your videos I can say I love them, they are both helpful and enjoyable. You make me want to learn. I love your persoanlity and energy. Hopefully things will progress. With your website and help, I am encouraged that it will. Did I mention estou apaixonado para uma Brasileira? Thanks Luciana.

I like to meet different people, learn about them, their culture, etc. I enjoy collecting various memorabilia including sports collectible, historical items, Americana, etc. I have become a big futebol fan including the Braileiro league. My favorite Brazilian team is Palmeiras due to their Italian background. I enjoy many things including music, Petula Clark is a favorite, reading, eating out, walking, etc. I love being a barber, not only for the cutting but just as much for the interaction with people. I plan on opening my own shop one day, possibly looking for a Brazilian to be a partner. I also to help one of my Brazilian friendsto open their own business and if possible help someone down in Brazil, either directly or thorough a Catholic church, etc. Basically I'm open to almost anything, especially when it is something new and different. Being the son of an immigrant, I am more and more becoming more active and passionate about the Immigration issue. We need reform and I can't stand the hurt and injustice which is taking place. This country has lost it's way and must return to what it once stood for, what is written on the Statue of Liberty. I don't know what I can do but I will continue to fight. I want to learn more about Brasil, Brasileros and the culture. I love the people, food, futebol and of course the beautiful women, one in particular!
