Songs in Portuguese on my Flight Home

Last week I flew home (Recife, Brazil) to visit my family. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of songs in Portuguese on the plane entertainment system. Their World Music channel had a total of 21 songs, 10 of which were in Portuguese from different places in the world. Below is a widget with these songs. Place your cursor at the center of the widget and you will see a list of the songs. Click on a song to listen to its sample. We have two wonderful Brazilian musical events coming up in San Francisco: Seu Jorge and Olodum.

Brazilian Music Film Series at YBCA This Week in SF - Not to Miss!

Maracatu is a Brazilian beat from Pernambuco, a state in the Northeast region of Brazil. It is very rich and represents many cultural and historic elements.
