Travel Basics

With the Street Smart Brazil Travel Basics Kit, you will learn to express your needs and opinions, make requests, negotiate price, and ask for directions. At the end of the program you will be able to engage in basic conversations with Brazilians. You will also receive inter-cultural coaching, safety tips, and travel advice.
 
The Travel Basics package consists of 10 meetings; each session is 1.5 hours long.

• Greetings and farewells. Introducing yourself
• Verbs SER e ESTAR (to be); descriptions of people and places
• Numbers. Telling the time. Brazilian currency. Asking the price. The calendar
• Expressing your needs and opinions, and making polite requests
• Asking for directions (and understanding the answers!)
• Essential Brazilian Menu customized to attend to your appetite. Includes Brazilian plates and drinks that you should try.
• Conversations you will likely engage in when meeting people in Brazil: This is a made-to-order class that will follow your imagination
• Question words: Asking questions
• Your health; communicating basic health concerns
• Inter-cultural coaching customized for your trip

At Street Smart Brazil, classes are fully customizable to attend to your needs. If you feel that you do not need any of these topics, we will replace it with one of your choice.
