Free Screening of New Brazilian Movie in Berkeley - Sep 20

The Center for Latin American Studies is teaming with the San Francisco Latino Film Festival to present a free screening of the new Brazilian film Teus Olhos Meus (Soulbound in English). I'd like to thank Beth Perry, Program Coordinator at the Center for Latin American Studies, for sending me this info.

Teus Olhos Meus (2011) is director Caio Sóh's filme de estreia (first movie). The drama tells the story of a 20-year-old orphan (Emilio Dantas, from minissérie “Sansão e Dalila”) who leaves home due to conflicts with his aunt and uncle (Paloma Duarte, from “Leo e Bia”, and Roberto Bomtempo, from “Achados e Perdidos”) who raised him. With his guitar on his shoulder and nowhere to go, he meets a musical director and his life takes a big turn.
